What is the difference between the take-home bleaching system you offer and laser tooth whitening, also which is more effective?
|
According to a recent study, laser tooth whitening lightens the color of your teeth an average of three shades. Take-home bleaching on the other hand whitens your teeth an average of seven shades lighter according to the Bioform shade chart and an independent study at Loma Linda University. Laser tooth whitening is a one shot deal where you go in pay $500 and a rubber dam is placed to protect your gums. Then a 16% gel identical to our whitening gel is placed on the teeth (usually only the 12 visible teeth while Dentech whitens 6 more teeth). A curing light is then applied to the gel over a period of twenty minutes for three twenty minute sessions rendering only a one to three shade change. Take home bleaching from Dentech Services or your dentist involves biting into a wax rim exclusively through Dentech Services and sending it into our lab. We pour your molds and construct custom scalloped trays to avoid tissue irritation. We supply the whitening agent (a mildly flavored gel with a thick sticky consistency). You place a small amount of gel in your new custom trays and wear the gel for about one to two hours a day for one to two weeks. Because the bleaching trays are so thin and comfortable and are molded directly to your teeth, you can go about your work or schedule and even talk with them in your mouth. The trays are made to hold gel directly to your teeth and because you are applying the gel for a duration of time you will get greater results than that of laser tooth whitening which is a one shot deal. Also studies indicate that laser bleaching causes more tooth sensitivity because the gel is activated all at once causing temporary discomfort to your teeth. Take into consideration also that most dentists like to supplement their laser whitening with a take-home whitening kit, which eludes to the fact that a quickie can't always take care of the job. Oh, did we mention the price difference? $500 and up for laser whitening (Ouch!). Take-home bleaching exclusively from Dentech Services is on an average of $200 cheaper than that of your dentist. Also your dentist will not guarantee the results of laser tooth whitening or take-home bleaching, but our money back guarantee does. Again, we at Dentech Services and toothwhiteners.com guarantee whiter teeth. |
My sister and I have white spots
on our teeth. We heard it was due to the heavy flouride
content in our water. I am getting my braces off in a month
and was wondering if your mail-order whitening kit will
work for me?
|
Great questions. Those white spots are flourosis,
probably due to excessive flouride or chlorine in your water.
They could also be calcification due to calcium deposits in
your enamel. At any rate they will initially whiten faster
than the rest of your teeth but as you continue the whitening
treatment with our complete kit they will even out beautifully.
Order the kit for $109. We are members
of the Better Business Bureau and we would love to give you
and your sister a lovely smile. |
Hello! I just got my trays and have
worn them twice for two hours at a time. Am I supposed to
ever wear them overnight? Also, how many applications should
I get out of one tube of gel? I also have slight tooth sensitivity
in a couple of my teeth. Is that normal?
|
Sensitivity is common. You should continue using it every
other day for the first week and then every day for the second
and the third week try overnight treatments. As your teeth
become accustomed to the gel you will notice less sensitivity.
You should be able to dispense 3 treatments out of one tube
both upper and lower. |
I have fixed permanent retainers
on both my upper and lower, will this pose a problem when
you go to make the trays?
|
No, the retainers get picked up in the impression and are
duplicated onto the mold, so that the final trays fit over
it.
|
Does bleaching strip the enamel
off the teeth, and is it safe for my gums?
|
Clinically, they are now saying that whitening your teeth
enamel lesion wise, is about as bad as drinking a 16 oz.
cola. If you have any gum or tissue irritation, trim back
the trays with tiny sharp scissors in those areas very slightly.
|
I have tetracycline stains from
taking antibiotics, will your product whiten my teeth?
|
Yes, we are confident that it will, it may take longer
than 2 weeks, but doing night time treatments will make
the treatment duration shorter. That is why we own www.tetracycline.net.
|
How hard is it to make my own impressions,
and can't my dentist do a better job?
|
Taking your imprints is very easy to do, and the key is
to take a nice deep impression. Our oldest client is an
84 year old woman, and she did just fine.
|
How long does the whitening last
for?
|
Three to five years.
|
How often should I do a touch-up?
And, how many applications should I do?
|
Every three to six months, you can do a touch-up of three
to four applications.
|
What is the shelf life of your
product, and does it need to be refridgerated?
|
2.5 years. No it does not need to be refridgerated.
|
I have a crown on my anterior or
front teeth. Will your product whiten my crown?
|
No. But the standard procedure is to first whiten all
the adjacent teeth, wait two weeks for the color to stabalize,
and then go in to your dentist and have him match the crown
to the new shade of your teeth. Sometimes when a crown was
placed many years ago, the rest of the teeth have dulled
while the crown is whiter. In this instance you may whiten
till you have returned to the original shade of your teeth
when you first had the crown placed. The same goes for composites,
bridges, and veneers.
|
Do you have a money back guarantee?
|
Of course we do. 95 percent of all our clients experience
some level of whitening. If you are dissatisfied with the
service or trays, simply let us know and we will refund
you the difference, no questions asked. Your dental office
will charge you more, and will not guarantee results. We
do!
|
If I mess up on my impressions,
do I have to pay to take them over?
|
Absolutely not. We will send you new impression trays
free of charge.
|
If I lose my trays, what is the
fee to replace them?
|
$49 plus $10 shipping and handling.
|
I have one tray already from my
dentist. Can you make me the other tray, and what is the
cost?
|
You will get 6 syringes of 16% and the lower or upper
tray for $49 plus $10 for shipping. Please order that over
the phone or specify by email.
|
Is the gel you offer the same as
that which I would get at my dentist?
|
Absolutely. We distribute to dentists statewide. Over
the counter whiteners are 3 to 4 percent. Ours is 16% carbamide
peroxide. That is why we own www.carbamideperoxide.com.
|
What if I am doing day time treatments
with no results?
|
Wear the trays overnight a couple of times.
|
How come you can sell me the same
kit as my dentist for a fraction of the cost? He wanted
to charge me $300.
|
Your dentist has alot of overhead. Chairtime means money
for him. Because we specialize just in tooth whitening,
we can afford to give you the best deal possible. Not only
do you get the exact same service, but you will get more
gel. Your dentist may only give you 4 syringes, we give
you 12 (enough for 3 weeks) and 16% comes standard with
all our kits, not 10% or 11%.
|
Why do teeth discolor?
|
Some teeth are naturally too pigmented or stained as
they develop
Exposure to tea, coffee, juices, colas or tobacco accounts
for much of the darkening as we age.
Tooth discoloration sometimes happens from minerals antibiotic
(tetracycline) or an excess of fluoride taken internally
during tooth development.
Old fillings, tooth nerve damage, or trauma to teeth can
account for darkening.
|
How does The New Formula remove stains?
|
The The New Formula Tooth Whitening System will remove most
stains with a gentle sustained release action that will
oxidize (bleach) stains within your teeth. Your tooth structure
remains unchanged. Experience and research show that 90-95%
of patients treated with experience some level of tooth

not whiten with The New Formula.
|
What is the treatment procedure?
|

proper fit of the custom bleaching tray fabricated by us.
The thin, soft plastic tray provides sufficent comfort to
allow bleaching while you sleep. Once the tray is made,
we will explain how to use The New Formula bleaching gel.
|
